Typical of our workshop, the Willoughby Platform Bed is built using a traditional mortise and tenon bed-bolt construction ensuring generations of sturdy service.  The mattress rests on a rugged array of hardwood slats supported in the center by a central leg and beam.  There is no need for a box spring or foundation.

The Hawthorne Platform Bed shares the features of all of the beds made in our workshop; solid hardwood construction, bolted mortise and tenon joinery, and a hand-rubbed oil and wax finish.  The mattress rests on an array of robust wood slats; no need for a box spring.
