Our Hawthorne Platform Bed, shown here in cherry, is available in all sizes from a twin to a king, including California King.
The Hawthorne Platform Bed shares the features of all of the beds made in our workshop; solid hardwood construction, a bolted mortise and tenon joinery, and a hand-rubbed oil and wax finish. The mattress rests on an array of robust wood slats supported by a center leg. No need for a box spring.
Like all of our platform beds the Hawthorne platform bed becomes a platform storage bed with the inclusion of our under bed storage system. For example, Our Turtle Bay Platform Bed shares the same basic structure with the Hawthorne Platform Bed. This addition adds as much storage as provided by a large 9 drawer dresser or 3 drawer armoire.
