Our Brooklyn made Platform Beds all share the same heirloom quality construction techniques we use to build all of our furniture; an all solid hardwood construction, bolted mortise and tenon joinery, and a hand-rubbed oil and wax finish.  For ventilation and sturdy wobble-free use, the mattress rests on an array of robust wood slats supported by a center leg.  Unlike many modern furniture stores there is no need for a box spring.

Make your Hawthorne platform bed a storage bed with the inclusion of our under bed storage system.  This addition adds as much storage as provided by a large 9 drawer dresser or 3 drawer armoire.
