The Harrison Platform Bed presents a modern interpretation of our traditional bed-frame joinery. Like all of our bed frames the Harrison Bed is crafted from solid cherry, walnut or maple using bed bolt construction that will provide a service life measured in decades.
The Harrison bed may be ordered with headboard (as shown) or without.
For a headboard you may select from from unique wide boards in stock, or a solid cherry panel, or a Sensuede upholstered headboard available in a rainbow of colors.
The headboard shown here is a live edge walnut headboard that was available in 2010 with an ash frame. As each live edge piece is beautiful and unique we only offer these singular creations in our Soho showroom as they become available for purchase. However, we sometimes have a stock of these particularly interesting headboards made from extraordinarily wide boards to view and select from in our showroom. It is important to note, we offer these on an “as available” basis specified to size and material from what our craftsmen decide is suitable for each individual board. This means that the live edge headboards can not be ordered as such, since each is a unique creation from nature. You can also stop by the showroom, 137 Varick St in New York City, to view our most currently available stock in cherry, maple, ash or walnut and take home a one of a kind artisan platform bed.
All of our platform beds have an array of maple wood slats under the mattress which provides firm, solid support and mattress ventilation. No foundation (box spring ) necessary!
Many of our platform bed designs can be disassembled for shipment via UPS or FedEx.
