Maple platform with light green sensuede headboard
The Harrison Platform Bed presents a modern interpretation of our traditional bed-frame joinery. Like all of our bed frames the Harrison Bed is crafted from solid cherry, walnut, ash or maple using bed bolt construction that will provide a service life measured in decades.
The Harrison bed may be ordered with headboard (as shown) or without. Shown here the headboard is upholstered with a gray Sensuede. Sensuade is a microfiber from American Silk Mills made entirely from recycled polyester fibers.
Sensuede is available in over a hundred colors.
To support the mattress the most popular system that we offer is a series of wood slats under the mattress which provides firm and solid support yet provides for mattress ventilation. No foundation (box spring) is necessary with our platform beds.
Many of our platform bed designs can be disassembled for shipment via UPS or FedEx.

Our Harrison Platform Bed employs an array of sturdy wood slats to support the mattress and provide ventilation. This example, in Sugar Maple, is a double size with a headboard upholstered with Sensuede. Sensuede is a microfiber fabric from American Silk Company available in a veritable rainbow of colors. Sensuede is a good choice for head board upholstery as it is very durable, fade resistant, cleanable and has a very soft texture. Our headboards are padded to provide comfortable support while sitting in bed.
