Our design team at Scott Jordan Furniture had the pleasure to collaborate with a very enthusiastic client to craft this media cabinet.  The unit features a middle section suited for a flat screen television with flanking cabinets left and right.  It is suited for ample storage of audio equipment, books , or your own particular collection.  The top panel is highlighted by corbels and a beautifully detailed edge profile. The cabinet is finished with natural oil and wax which accentuates the grain of the wood.

The cabinet was made in our own Brooklyn workshop from sustain-ably harvested solid American Black Walnut from southeastern Pennsylvania. We enjoy such collaborative projects and will be happy to discuss your particular needs.

Simple, Functional, and Elegant, our Brooklyn made Harrison Series of end tables are perfect for the bedroom, living room, or any room in your home.  These cases are made with simple sliding dovetail drawers, an all mortise and tenon construction, and feature solid fixed shelves.  All of our Harrison pieces feature solid panel sides with a 14 degree bevelled top detail.  Any of our standard knobs and pulls are available for these pieces though if you have something in mind or had purchased previously, our workshop will be more than happy to install the hardware of your choice.

Each piece made in our Brooklyn workshop is hand crafted and tailored specifically to our client’s needs.

We have developed techniques employing computer controlled machinery to produce a wide variety of solid wood furniture and fittings in in infinite variety of shapes and sizes at a cost compatible to mass production but with a fit and finish that mass producers could only dream of.

Another advantage to our method of production is the ability to produce unique, site-specific cabinetry of the highest quality tailored precisely to the dimensions of the intended location and functional needs

We  generally work in American cherry, walnut, or maple finished with a natural, hand-rubbed oil and wax treatment. The  wood is harvested from sustainably managed Pennsylvania forests

Scott Jordan Furniture has crafted heirloom quality pieces for over 30 years.  Using only the finest select American cherry, this legacy continues today represented by our Vanderbilt Armoire series.

As the latest design created by our workshop, each Vanderbilt armoire features a configuration made specifically for your interior and your needs.  We use time tested methods of construction such as mortise and tenon joinery, combined with a through dovetail box, resting upon our leg base.  This particular unit was made with 3 drawers, stands at 80″ tall and features a wide 40″ inch opening for hanging garments within a 20″ deep case.  The doors are all solid raised panels with Horton Brass Antique knobs.

The composition consists of all solid cherry casework with solid panel doors in the base and glass doors in the top.  Behind each door is an adjustable shelf fitted within a generous 16″” deep opening.  The middle section features the fore mentioned drop-down table surface fitted with a 90 degree locking hinge mechanism.  We also commonly use this type of drop down surface as a desk when lowered a few inches.
