The bookcase pictured is from our Signature Series Bookcase Collection. The construction is of solid Pennsylvania cherry using mortise and tenon joinery, ensuring that this bookcase will endure for generations. Also, cherry is a very stiff wood and our solid wood shelves are not prone to bending under the weight of a heavy load of books as are shelves made from particle board or plywood which have only a fraction of the stiffness of solid hardwood. We finish the wood with safe non toxic plant oils and beeswax.
Typical sizes include openings at 20″, 30″, 35″, or 40″ wide in several different heights. The case shown is a 23″w x 72″ h x 14.75″ deep. We can also align bookcases side-by-side under a common top to create long bookcase walls.
